Workforce One of Clermont County, certified as a One Stop Employment & Training Center by the Bureau of Workforce Investment Act in June 1999, is operated by Arbor Education and Training, LLC. Workforce One of Clermont County is funded through the Dept. of Job & Family Services. The framework for the center began with a workforce development initiative between the Clermont County Department of Job & Family Services and the Clermont Chamber of Commerce in the fall of 1997.
Services, offered to both businesses and individuals, are designed for universal access. The facility houses a reception area, a computer lab, a community resource room with internet access, training classrooms, a business services unit and staff that represent a number of programs focused on workforce development through a vast number of community services and partnerships.
Workforce One of Clermont County is also operating a Transition Center at the Batavia Ford Transmission Plant in order to assist those associates that may be seeking re-training or re-employment as Ford idles the manufacturing at that location. At the Center, employees of Ford will find staff and the tools needed to secure new employment in the region. For those seeking additional training, the County has secured funding that will pay for or subsidize training in "demand occupations".
